Why most portable blenders fail at ice

Lab test notes: the 30-second crush
Our acceptance criterion was fewer than five visible particles larger than 2mm in a 500ml cup. Only three units passed - the LOUVT Fresh Juice, the Ninja Blast (barely), and the corded Beast. Everything sub-150W struggled.
